BREAKFAST OF EGGS AND WATER

Today was a day full of activities! Mom and dad took me downstairs to this place they call a "mamak" to have breakfast, which was after I had MY milk but knowing mommy and daddy, they would usually let me have a bite or two of whatever it is they were having.

A "mamak" is a place full of friendly, dark people, usually thin and like Daddy, have snatches of hair on their lips. Mommy and Daddy ordered a bunch of stuff, which they did not let me have ANY because mommy said it was "spicy", whatever that meant. In any case, I didn't really care because there was just SO much to see! There was one of those Dark Men sitting on a high chair behind a high table and he made funny faces at me, speaking a funny language which was very quick. There was also another baby (small people like me)! I LOVE babies. I usually try to make friends. Some of them respond, some of them don't.

And then (I love mommy!) My breakfast came - half-boiled eggs! I love HBEs! Daddy broke the two that came and fed me. Yum!! Did I say I love HBEs?

After a lengthy breakfast where mommy and daddy read the morning papers and I discovered that "mamak"s had very interesting smells, we took a walk in place nearby that had things Daddy calls 'swings'. Mommy put me in one of these 'swings' and both of them moved me in the swing back and forth. Wasn't very fun. I was more interested in some brown things on the ground that was all green. How strange! The floor looked alive when the wind blew. I pointed at one of them brown things and mommy told me it was a leaf. A leaf. Whatever that was, it was all over the place as well, all over the green floor that made noises when mommy and daddy walked.

Next, we went on this long thing that mommy called a see-saw, where daddy sat on one end and me and mommy on the other. That was quite fun, seeing daddy waving and going up and down like that.

We sat there for a while like that, just going up and down, and suddenly we left, because daddy exclaimed that he saw something on the 'see-saw' and we quickly got off. Dont know what it was.

We walked home (it was VERY cold this morning), and mommy and daddy decided to take me swimming! I only went once before this, a long time ago. Mommy put me in this colourful, tight thing that clung to my skin, while she herself also wore a similar but much, much larger version of what she called a 'swim suit'. Daddy got out my 'floaties', these large, yellow things that were big but light, and two smaller ones were put around my upper arms. When everyone was ready, we took the small room with buttons to this large area with the hole that had a LOT of water. There is a smaller hole which Mah Mah and Yeh Yeh let me dip my feet in every now and then but we were going to the Big Hole of Water today. I was a little apprehensive.

The water was FREEZING cold. Mommy and Daddy kept saying that it was but I was too excited to feel it I guess. I was put into the large floatie and for about half an hour, had the time of my life just kicking around! I LOVE WATER! I drank a bit of it too. Mommy told me not to but I wanted to. I was thirsty!

After swimming, we took the Room with Buttons to our house again, and I was exhausted already. Mommy made lunch for me and I could not even finish it, falling asleep halfway through my oatmeal (knocked my head a bit on the chair table but it was okay).

All in all, it was a really fun day, almost as fun as the time we went driving to this place with a LOT of people and I sat on the colourful thing that sang and went round and round.

Hmmm I'm hungry now. where's mommy?

MOMMY'S LEG IS A RIDE!

Yesterday evening, mommy surprised me by coming to Mah Mah's house to pick me up early! She spent an hour there, just chit-chatting with Mah Mah and Yeh Yeh, and then out of the blue, turned her leg into this absolutely awesome ride!

She sort of just put me at the end of her leg and all of a sudden, she started rocking it up and down, holding my hands and I was clinging on to her for dear life! It was SO fun, and Mah Mah was laughing and all. It stopped after a while because Mommy said her left leg was tired, and tried to put me on her right leg, which somehow didn't seem as fun. I kept wanting to go back to "the original" but Mommy wouldn't let me. What a disappointment!

Mommy didn't seem herself yesterday. She seemed sort of sad. When we went home, she got me ready for bed and sat there singing a song to me. It was not the same funny song she usually sang (she makes up most of the music, I suspect, because they sound different all the time - and yet the same). It was a slow, sad song.

Update on the Thing With Buttons: Daddy caught me red-handed, literally, on video (because it seems some guy Mommy called Aiz made my sneaky fingers thingy famous by telling everyone on his blog and even voted me Malaysia's Youngest Blogger. Daddy is threatening to put it here for the world to see. Doesn't matter to me tho, coz Mommy let me pound on the TWB for a good 15 minutes just now! She even let me move the big, funny-looking thing with the red light underneath for a bit! I was doing what Mommy and Daddy do everyday! Yayyayay!

Anyway, like with most things, that was a one-time binge only because this morning, she wouldn't let me touch ANYTHING. I made a fuss and it didn't work. I even tried my "woe is me" act but it was no go. She just handed me Mr Smiley and continued doing her thing. To show her I was mad, I ripped off his gloves. It did not even faze her. Maybe if I cried louder...

Ooh daddy is here. Blog to u later!

I HAVE SNEAKY FINGERS!

Two days ago, mommy discovered my sneaky fingers. As usual, she had been sitting in front of this big colourful box that had moving words and images, which is controlled by this thing on the table that mommy and daddy use. It has a lot of buttons that one can press, and I've seen mommy and daddy pressing the buttons very quickly, to what purpose I'm not sure. Mommy used to let me whack it when I was younger but for some reason, she doesn't want me to anymore, especially during the mornings after my feed. She would sit me down on her lap, in front of this box, and start typing, while singing (she always sings some song to me just to somehow distract me but it never works).

Like I said, two mornings ago, I tried sneaking a finger time and time again towards the Thing With Buttons, just to see if I can touch it again. Alas, mommy found out my 'technique' and strangely, she and daddy were so amused with it that they sort of forgot I had touched the TWB. I actually succeeded once or twice when mommy forgot her "haps" (that's the noise she makes - "hap!" - when she doesn't want me to do something). But I keep trying, and I'm getting closer...

Mommy hasn't been blogging for me for a while because she's been busy. Once she is able to blog again, I'll let you know my progress (with the Thing With Buttons).

Boiboi.
